Notes - The eastern half of Long Island was colonized by the English in 1640 and originally called Nassau Island. The Dutch settled the western half soon after and named it Lange Eyelandt. RS I later moved to Burlington County NJ. His son RS II moved to the Princeton area no later than 1696.
