  Ralph was arrested at various times for being a Quaker. He carried his dissenting religion to America when he emigrate with his son Phineas and his son's wife and her father, dying five years later. Information on Ralph Pemberton and his family from the book "Colonial and Revolutionary Families of Pennsylvania" by John W. Jordan, also cited in the Griffin book on the Allred family.
