    • Raymond Haigler in 1970 gen. notes says that John and his brothers Benjamin, Jacob and Sebastian, fought the French and Indians along the Ohio River from Wheeling to Fort Pitt.



      Henning’s Statutes of Virginia, Vol. 7 p.184” ref militia of County of Augusta -- Benjamin, John, and Jacob.
      Melville's Genealogy states that John migrated to Anson and Rowan Counties in North Carolina about 1765 and spelled his name Hagler, Haeygler, and Heighler. He left a will dated 1771.
